The Vintage Tea Set
Terms & Conditions

China Hire

These terms and conditions apply to a client who orders online, in person, by email or over the telephone. By paying the hire charge the client and the company or individual making the payment are agreeing to these terms and conditions.

A hire booking is only confirmed once full payment has been received either by BACS payment or cheque (to clear two days before delivery). In exceptional circumstances cash on delivery or a PayPal payment can be arranged.

The hire prices quoted on our website apply to a 3 day maximum hire period. Extended hire periods can also be arranged at an additional cost depending on the hire period required.

Prices quoted for delivery and collection are based on the distance from The Vintage Tea Set address in London N13 to the drop off address. A Congestion Charge will also be added if applicable. Any issues with parking/unloading/stairs should be made clear by the client when booking. Where there is an issue with any of the aforementioned or with access in general, additional costs may be incurred.

Delivery and collection times will be agreed within a 3 hour window. More specific delivery/collection times or evening/Sunday/Bank Holiday deliveries and collections can sometimes be arranged but may incur additional costs.

A wash charge is included in all prices quoted. Do not under any circumstances put our china in the dishwasher. All items can be retuned unwashed but excess food should be scraped off before repacking. All china and glassware will arrive with you in compartmentalized crates and/or well wrapped in bubble wrap for safe transit. Everything should be repacked before returning in a similar fashion to avoid breakages on the return trip. Any additional time spent by our drivers repacking items will incur an additional charge.

Replacement charges for any breakages or losses will be charged at six times the hire prices quoted on www.thevintageteaset.co.uk. Please note, a teacup and saucer count as one item – any damage or loss of either the teacup or saucer will be charged at the full hire price for both items.

Our minimum hire charge is £100, not including delivery and collection.

Catering and China Hire

A deposit of 50% of the total quoted is required to confirm your booking. The deposit is non refundable. The balance is due no later than one week after the event.

All of the above terms and conditions relating to china hire apply.

Whilst we will observe all health and safety issues when supplying and serving food The Vintage Tea Set can accept no liability for any issues relating to the food brought in from outside suppliers.

The Vintage Tea Set should be notified by the client of any food allergies, food intolerances or any other dietary requirements. We are more than happy to cater for all of the aforementioned and will take the utmost care in doing so, but The Vintage Tea Set will accept no liability in any issues arising from very severe food allergies as all food is prepared in a kitchen where there may be traces of allergens.

Staff hours quoted may change if the evening runs over the time anticipated.
